The 5 Star Engagement Program is the RaboDirect Rebels' strategy to ingrain the players and the Rebels Philosophy into the Victorian Rugby Community.
Highlighting the importance of Balance for each of the players, they will each have the pleasure and opportunity to be affiliated with their own club, school, charity and business within Victoria. Through this program, every stakeholder within the community will have their own playing ambassador to tap directly into what the Rebels are doing, whilst providing our players with avenues for them to widen their skills, better equipping them for life after rugby.
Every RaboDirect Rebels player has been allocated a club and school, in partnership with another player, to ensure maximum benefit for all.
In the realm of business, each player and their partners will benefit from the significant business networks that the Rebels Community will provide. Through sponsors, the Weary Dunlop Rugby Club and VRU links, each player will be given the opportunity to link with a business, in the field of their choice. This will provide them invaluable skills for their future careers, as well as providing unprecedented access for our corporate leaders to tap into the Rebels players profile.
The players have already begun working with their allocated clubs and schools, and begun the process of not only taking the team, their pledge and culture to Victoria – but growing the game at all levels to enable the states rugby system to compete with established rugby states in New South Wales, Queensland, ACT and Western Australia.
