Melbourne Rebels SCOTT HARRISON - TEAM MANAGER

SCOTT HARRISON - TEAM MANAGER

Scott has years of experience managing elite sporting teams.  He was the Wallabies Assistant Manager from 2001 to 2003 and the Waratahs Team Manager from 2005 to 2007.

He also has experience in the digital world, as he was ARU’s Online Manager and was responsible for the re-launch of their flagship website, www.rugby.com.au.

Scott is responsible for management, planning and execution of all team activities including all off-field operations, logistics, planning and budgeting for the RaboDirect Rebels. 

 

 

Melbourne Rebels MARK ANDREWS - HEAD OF PERFORMANCE MARK ANDREWS - HEAD OF PERFORMANCE 

Mark has moved into the role of Head of Performance after spending the inaugural RaboDirect Rebels season as the Strength and Conditioning Coach. Mark practices what he preaches and will be responsible for taking the RaboDirect Rebels players to another level both physically and mentally. 

Mark worked at St. George Illawarra under former Test centre, Paul McGregor. In 2009, Mark followed Head Coach of the Dragons, Nathan Brown to become the Head of Strength and Conditioning with Huddersfield Giants Super League Team in England. 

 

 

 

ZANE LEONARD - HEAD OF STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING 

Zane will be stepping up into the role of Head of Strength and Conditioning after spending last season as the Rebels Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach/Rehab Coach.

Zane has completed both an Undergraduate Degree and two Post Graduate Degrees in Exercise and Sport Science. He is also an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. 

Zane comes to us after a 2-year stint working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Collingwood’s VFL side. Zane also spent 2 years as a player on their AFL rookie list in 2004-05, of recent he has competed at the last 5 National Athletics Championships in Long jump and also made the Semi-Finals of the 120m Stawell Gift.

 

 

MARK ROWE - LOGISTICS MANAGER 

Rowie has been an integral part of the fabric of Victorian Rugby Union for the past decade.

His passion for Victoria, Rugby Union and a team environment has manifested itself in 10 years as Manager of the Victorian Senior State Team, including being Assistant Manager during the 2007 Australian Rugby Championship for the original Rebels.

He was Manager of the Wallaroos for 5 years, traveling to the 2006 XV’s World Cup  and Dubai in 2009 where they were crowned the World Champions of 7s.

His commercial background comes from Human Resources in the military and a further 10 years working for the Salvation Army.

He is responsible for assisting Scott Harrison in training session and match day delivery, whilst also managing supplier relationships across the state. He will also play a role in mentoring the community representative team managers.
