Yakult will continue on as an Official Partner and probiotic of choice of the Melbourne Rebels, after the Japanese-headquartered company committed to extend their support for the Club through the 2019 and 2020 Super Rugby seasons.

The two-year renewal sees Yakult become the second longest financial supporter of the Club, with 2019 being their eighth year as a partner.

With the Melbourne Rebels first home game being tomorrow night against the Highlanders at AAMI Park, fans can expect to once more see Yakult branding adorning the goal post pads at either end of the field.

Yakult will also be the presenting partner of junior half-time Rugby mini-games throughout the season amongst other continued benefits in-stadium.

“We are very excited that Yakult Australia continue to be a key partner in the Rebels family and look forward to working with them, especially as we look to build stronger strategic connections into Japan," Melbourne Rebels CEO, Mr Baden Stephenson said.

“Yakult is a market leading and globally renowned brand, and those are both attributes that we are constantly aspiring towards as a Club. Yakult have also recently secured other sporting partnerships locally with Essendon FC and within Rugby with the Hurricanes which not only gives us some exciting activation ideas for the future and also puts our brand amongst the best in class.”

Yakult Managing Director, Mr. Kenji Ono added, “We are delighted to renew our partnership with the Rebels. In continuing our partnership we reflected on the Rebels commitment to their community and their focus on always improving as a Club.'

"We share that philosophy and together with the Rebels we will support initiatives that will benefit the wider community over the next two years."
