In 2013 Geoff Parling was selected to tour Australia with the British and Irish Lions, and started the third and final test in which the Lions romped home against the Aussies to secure series victory.
In January 2015, Parling announced after 6 years at Welford Road he would move onto pastures new and join Exeter Chiefs for the 2015/16 season on a two year deal.
Parling secured a spot in Lancaster's 31 man squad for the 2015 RWC after a number of impressive performances in the pre World Cup warm up games with England.
In May 2017, Parling is set to leave the club at the end of their current campaign to further his career in Japan and Australia.
He eventually signed for the Melbourne Rebels' 2018 Super Rugby season.
In November 2018, Parling moved from the Rebels locker room into the coaches ball pen when he was appointed Lineout Coach of the club.
